La región de Catalunya esta al norte, colinda con Francia y está considerada una de las regiones más ricas de España ya que posee una de las ciudades más hermosas del país, Barcelona; que además de tener La Sagrada Familia, una de las Iglesias más majestuosas del mundo y el equipo de futbol El Barça, considerado sin duda, uno de los mejores. Tiene su propia lengua -el catalán- y sus propias costumbres muy diferentes a las del resto de España.

Los catalanes, quienes muchos de ellos no se consideran españoles, dice que el gobierno español les quita mucho dinero en impuestos y no se los regresa en servicios, así que su infraestructura de comunicaciones y otros servicios no son tan buenos como los de otras regiones y por ende los trabajos no se producen. Además, sienten que no son respetados por querer mantener su lengua y sus costumbres.

Esto empezó como un problema de justicia social, en donde España ha calificado a los catalanes de no querer ayudar a las regiones que tienen menos y que incitan a la des unificación; y Catalunya dice que los saquean y no los respetan.

Así se han pasado los años, con manifestaciones y consultas ciudadanas, que a la fecha han desembocado en una descarada violación de los derechos humanos por parte del gobierno del primer ministro Rajoy.
